STORY BEHIND THE FEATURES
Odoo's functions:
Odoo allows you to enter the full names of your users and individual collaborators in a single box.
Cluedoo's functions:
Cluedoo not only allows you to differentiate the first and last names of your users and individual collaborators, but also allows you to choose the order and the way in which they are displayed. This can be useful to conform to the conventions of your country, or simply to satisfy your preferences in terms of display.
OUR FEATURES AS SOLUTIONS
The naming field becomes a stored function field linking the last name to the first name
HOW TO USE THIS MODULE
1.
Go to Settings > General Settings.
Here we have the "Partner Names Order" section.
We have the possibility to choose how the names are displayed :
- Last Name First name
- Last Name, First name
- First name, Last name.
Choose your preference and save.

After saving, click on Recalculate Names.

Refresh and see that your changes have taken effect.
Here, in this example, we chose "Lastname, Firstname". We can see that our user's name display has changed to "Jules, Demo" as "Jules" is the first name and "Demo" is the last name.
You can also go to Settings > Users & Companies > Users, and see that the display of other peoples' names has also been changed.
In the Contacts app, the names of individual collaborators are also displayed as selected.
