Odoo proposes a flat product configurator with the selection of variants given at the product level.

Cluedoo proposes a "BOM (Bill of Materials) Based Product Configurator" with the possibility at the top level to directly get the attribute values of the sub-products. Doing so allows you to get a BOM with all the selected attribute values.

Imagine your company makes silicone products. First, you would prepare a recipe that require specific raw materials with required colors & qualities; then, you would manufacture your mold and design the packaging.
With a recipe of 10 various raw materials, you can produce millions of different products according to the size, the form, the packaging, etc.
Assume that you want to add one color. If you add the color in your recipe, you just need to add it in the 10 other different recipes as a "Color Attribute". It will automatically be selectable on the millions of product you sell.

HOW TO USE THIS MODULE
1. Go to Manufacturing → Operations → Manufacture order. Create a new manufacture order. Under the Product list, select "Advanced Product Selector".
2. Choose the product from the product options. In this example, we are selecting legs made from aluminium.
