ODOO BEHAVIOR
Odoo proposes planning management only at the work order level, which is a very low level of granularity but not at a more general level, required for the production manager to manage production department and give visibility to the sales department.

This extension of the production order module gives the possibility to manage production orders directly from the calendar view and with a planning approach:
MODULE+
This module gives a macro-planning to the production manager in order to have a quick visibility of the workload of the factory from a finished product point of view and to communicate with the sales department to define the priorities.
BUSINESS CASE
When you sell finished product based on a catalog and make to order, you will get production order for each sales order line. Then the planning give you the possibility to organize all the production of finished product, based on the optimization of the production and the customer constraints.

HOW TO USE THIS MODULE ?
Component Ready
When we create a production order, we can see Material Availability, and if material availability is ready, there will be a green toggle button on the right corner.
Production Date

On Manufacturing Order, we can set production fixed date. Click Action → Production Fixed

After clicking production fixed, there will be a wizard, click Production Fixed if ok
3.
Floating Production Date and Fixed Production Date are automatically filled
